My mistake PIT. Nevertheless, the rules state your player is issued the cap hit he currently holds at the time he is picked in accordance to Hockeybuzz.
The current vote to change to 'individual' cap hit is now at (3-2).

My mistake. Your player is issued the cap hit he currently holds at the time he is picked. Not trying to be difficult, just advocating on my team's behalf. Also, I am okay with making the amendment Dan is advocating for if Devin is also okay with it. I think we are the only teams that have players who currently have salary retained.

I think Devin already stated he is okay with accepting the higher cap hit. So both guys are, we could save a lot of trouble and just make that change.

If they are the only two teams then we can discuss changing the contracts. Only doing what is fair for every GM.

Like Dan, I have changed my mind. Disapprove (2-3)
To clarify, I think the rule should stay as is until next season as a precedent for rule changes has already been set.

Disapprove ( 2-4 )
I've used General's site from the get go so I welcome that change. But I feel that right now in the midst of things it's the worst timing to change something like this, as there will always be someone who feels slighted by it.
Guess I'm ok for having Pat and Devin change those numbers if they really, really don't mind it. But I worry about a opening another can of worms here. "Would Devin have traded up in those conditions?" If not, than basically we're forcing him to forfeit two future assets. And more problems following that. If we reverse things and switch back I had Muzzin top 3 in my selections. Do I now have to alter my plans since he got taken a few picks later or select him and create further havoc.
I'm all for General's site and individual hits ( since those are what I've used from the start ) but where does it stop if we decide to start with those changes at this particular juncture?
PS. Tried to get a point across as cleanly as I could since English isn't my native language. Hopefully you got the gist of it and it didn't come of as brash as it certainly wasn't my intention.

Don't worry man, your English is perfectly fine. In fact, you speak it better than some whose English is their first language.

Approve (5-4) *NOTE* I don't think St Pats counted LA and Minnys approval votes but if I'm wrong I will edit this total later (its hard as fuck to keep track on a phone so I understand; im even struggling to count it on the computer). Just trying to keep it as updated as possible.
In terms of having the rule instated next year is, imo, bologna solely because we determine our own contracts after this season anyway. I think Fanager should be the site we use. I personally always assumed that it was the total cap hit (retained salary included) which is why I avoided certain players up to this point thus altering my draft plans as well... so to say that it only truly effects two people is kind of a bold statement.
With that said, I think that Canes and Pit should come to an agreement together because this league is meant to be enjoyable and I am all for "having a good time" (said in Spicoli's voice from Fast Times). However it should be noted that Lucic is on a contract year so in the end Pitt is the only one who has long lasting implications on the ruling.
